Features include status page (public view accessible to entity representatives; shows real-time status of outstanding reports), contact details (emails), automation of due date calculation by fiscal year, and capacity for file uploads for historical referencing.
  • Reports enforced as required by Indiana Code (IC; IC 16-21-9-7; IC 16-21-6-3; IC 16-21-6-5), Code of Federal Regulations (CFR; 42 CFR 413.20), and United States Code (USC; 42 USC 1395).
  • Develop system to track the annual reporting of data from ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) (medical errors and Utilization Reports [State Form #49933]).
    • Reports feature contact list (emails, name of entity, provider identifier, facility identifier, and street address), incomplete reports (by year), and complete reports (by year).
      • Reports are classified by fiscal year, date of completion, ownership type (e.g., non-profit, for-profit), and type of licensure (e.g., federal, state).
• Maintain annual licensure, renewal, and compliance of temporary healthcare staffing agencies, as required by Indiana Code (IC 16-52).
  • Identify weaknesses in data integrity and accessibility of contact information for licensed entities.
    • Export data, clean data (for consistency), and develop system to store the details of licensed entities to assure data quality and increase the accessibility of data.

• Create and implement systems and databases for collecting and processing the submission of data for Senate Bill (SB) 118, House Bill (HB) 1003, HB 1004, and HB 1666 in collaboration with Legislative Director, Senior Attorney, Assistant Commissioner, and Chief of Staff.

• Integrate application and onboarding for the Chlamydia and Gonorrhea (CT/GC) Screening Program, Rapid Syphilis Testing Program, Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Prevention Program, Viral Hepatitis (VH) Prevention Program, Harm Reduction (HR) Program, and 340B Drug Pricing Program into singular application (Prevention Services Program) that includes an inventory of services (currently) offered and allows applicants to select services requested. Selections made for services offered and services requested influence sequential prompts to guide applicants through required deliverables.
  • From January of 2023 to August of 2024, the number of sexually transmitted infection (STI) testing and treatment services include:
    • Expansion of syringe service program (SSP) services to four (4) agencies.
    • Expansion of non-syringe harm reduction (NSHR) services to eighteen (18) agencies.
    • Expansion of rapid (point-of-care) testing for HIV to thirty-six (36) agencies, for hepatitis C (HCV) to thirty-six (36) agencies, for syphilis to thirty-four (34) agencies, and for pregnancy to thirty (30) agencies.
    • Expansion of laboratory-based testing for chlamydia to twenty-seven (27) agencies, for gonorrhea to twenty-seven (27) agencies, for syphilis to thirty-five (35) agencies, for HIV to thirty-seven (37) agencies, for HCV to thirty-six (36) agencies, and for MPOX to eight (8) agencies.
    • Expansion of treatment for STIs to thirty-six (36) agencies.

• Establish the Prevention Services Program by integrating participants into database for maintaining contact details, clinical services, and training and grant deliverables.

• Provide support for 340B Drug Pricing Program to one hundred twenty (120) local health departments (LHDs), community-based organizations (CBOs), and pregnancy care centers.
• Establish and maintain relationships with the Indiana Department of Health (IDOH) Laboratory, United Parcel Service (UPS), Northwind Pharmaceuticals, and CardinalHealth to provide logistical insight and support to Prevention Services Program participants. Collaborative efforts introduced programmatic insight to UPS CampusShip operations, Laboratory Information Management System (LIMSNet) processes, specimen coverage (payment) criteria, and quality assurance for specimen integrity during transit.
• Manage national BICILLIN L-A (Penicillin G Benzathine) shortage for 340B Drug Pricing Program covered entities; established priorities for use; increased inventory from March of 2023 to December of 2023 by five hundred sixty percent (560%). Consequently, adequate treatment for syphilis was possible when the medication was otherwise unavailable.
• Integrate reporting method for rapid (point-of-care) syphilis testing in partnership with Luther Consulting, LLC. Reporting metrics include consumer demographics, test result, signs and symptoms, administration of presumptive treatment, and referral tracking for subsequent sexual health services.
• Partner with Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Chief Communications Officer to design educational communications for the management of syphilis during pregnancy, management and follow-up for suspected congenital syphilis, interpretation of syphilis serology, and treatment algorithms for congenital syphilis prevention.
• Invite and collaborate with CMO and Health Care Education and Training (HCET) to host online webinar for managing syphilis during pregnancy and highlight agency congenital syphilis prevention initiatives; attendees included LHD staff, disease intervention specialists (DIS), program directors, public health nurses, physicians, and other healthcare personnel.
• Write and publish agency considerations for Doxycycline Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (DoxyPEP) for the prevention of bacterial STIs in collaboration with CMO and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines; considerations emphasize recommendation for clinicians to conduct syphilis screening using the reverse-sequence algorithm due to the impact of intermittent doxycycline use on non-treponemal test results for syphilis.
• Develop Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) survey for request for application (RFA) for High-Impact HIV Prevention and Surveillance Programs for Health Departments (PS24-0047) and Strengthening Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Prevention and Control for Health Departments (PS19-1901). Survey allows reviewers to score applicants (quantitatively) based on established rubric; survey code assigns quantitative score for each section and overall application (average score).
• Curate and implement electronic reporting form for maternal and congenital syphilis case investigations.
• Develop and maintain maternal and congenital syphilis case investigation tracker for increased prevention efforts of congenital syphilis cases. Features include reports (sorted by estimated date of delivery) by action needed (treatment, bloodwork, etc.); automated email reminders; and email notifications to STI epidemiologist with congenital syphilis case investigation status upon approval for case investigation closure.
• Drive the review and publishing of policies and procedures for chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, maternal and congenital syphilis, VH, HIV, HR, DIS performance standards, and case investigation management processes and operations.

• Revise fifty-four (54) website pages of organization to assure national branding compliance.
• Maintain and establish social media accounts of organization (Facebook/LinkedIn).
• Curate professional template for official communications to external and internal audiences.
• Revise and publish existing documents with brand-compliant formatting for consistency (membership brochure, policies and procedures, strategic plan, statement on racial injustice, basic steps to effective advocacy, and advocating versus lobbying).

• Monitor vital signs as ordered (or as warranted by patient disposition); notify nursing staff of critical blood pressures, respirations, temperatures, heart rates, and/or oxygen saturations.
• Complete requested bloodwork as ordered by clinicians; notify nursing staff of critical laboratory values/results.
• Assist admitted patients with daily needs, such as bathing, toileting, foley catheter care, and oral hygiene.
• Precept, train, and orient new patient care assistants to the hospital and unit; address expectations, unit standards, and training regarding the performance of phlebotomy, telemetry placement, bladder scanning, foley catheter maintenance and removal, infection prevention policies, peripheral line removal, and central line care.
• Recognized in October of 2021 by unit staff and the Director of Quality and Safety of Indiana University Health as “an integral asset to patient safety and infection prevention” regarding routine chlorhexidine gluconate (CHG) use in patient bathing, peripheral line cleansing, central line and port cleansing, and foley catheter care.

• Monitor vital signs as ordered (or as warranted by patient disposition); notify nursing staff of critical blood pressures, respirations, temperatures, heart rates, and/or oxygen saturations.
• Complete requested bloodwork as ordered by clinicians; notify nursing staff of critical laboratory values/results.

• Maintain website pages of the Division of Student Affairs, including parents and families, student conduct, advocacy and resources, housing, health and wellness, campus center, and student involvement.
• Manage social media accounts and on-campus digital signage for the promotion of events of the Division of Student Affairs.
• Coordinate marketing efforts and website updates among professional staff to assure Indiana University branding compliance, timely distribution of marketing efforts, and up-to-date documents and communications.

• Assist veterinary staff during appointments through conducting client intakes and medical histories, preparing vaccinations and blood collection supplies, and providing client education on preventative flea and tick interventions.
• Prepare surgical suite for operations; assist veterinary staff in preparing sterile field, gathering required supplies, and providing post-surgical monitoring and care.

• Accepted as one (1) of fifty (50) high school students in the United States to attend the Boiler Veterinary Camp at Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine. Hospital sponsored attendance via coverage of fees.
